For Aunt Helena

Well Helena, it looks like Anna has gotten your artistic talent. This is her picture from art class and all I can say is I don't think I could even paint something like this,LOL! By the way this picture is very poor compared to how bright and nice it looks in person. Obviosly her art teacher is teaching them some great techniques. And she would paint all day if I let her. I plan to mat and frame this one, it's just so cute. I also plan to get her some blank canvases so she can make new creations of her own.
Now, if I could just get her to be as interested in reading!!

LIFE

There is a great kids song by Scribble Monster called "The Song of LIFE". It's a song about the game LIFE, but it really is about life. You never know what's going to happen but hopefully you are happy with the people "playing" with you. And even though my game has sucked lately, I'm pretty happy with my playmates. So,to my wonderful husband, my diva daughter, awesome friends and the family I like( you know who you are,LOL): Thanks for playing with me, I love you all!

THE SONG OF LIFE© 2007 Rrraargh! Music (BMI)Words and music by James DagueSung by ScribbleJim

Every time that I play LIFE
I chose you to be my wife
We ride around in a plastic car
Tiny pegs are all we are
It doesn't matter what job I find
You're always there, you're still my bride
Sometimes I teach, sometimes I write
A doctor, lawyer, it's all alright

'Cause I, love you And I, love LIFE

We'll buy a house and have some kids
No more that four or they won't fit
Our girls are pink, the boys are blue
Our little girl looks just like you
We might be broke or might be rolling in dough
Where this road leads, I don't know
It's all a part of playing the game
I wouldn't have it any other way

'Cause I, love you And I, love LIFE
How I, love you And I, love LIFE

And on the day of reckoning,I'll spin the wheel, bet everything
It doesn't matter if I win or lose
I always win when I'm with you

'Cause I, love you And I, love life

I hope everyone is enjoying their "game" today.

Groovy

I received a brochure in the mail from the local colleges' Cultural Center advertising the upcoming programs. It seems the focus for the next few months is The Sixties. From Martin Luther King to Elvis to JFK assaination and much more. They are offering lots of free programs for adults and a couple for kids. I was telling Randy I would love to go to the JFK conspiracy one as it really fascinates me and I LOVE a good conspiracy theory. He told me I would get black listed if I went, LOL!! What does that even mean? Does the CIA really waste time following stay at home moms who go to free events about the JFK assaination? Maybe it's more like double secret probation. Anyway I still want to go, maybe I'll register under an alias.

As I was looking through the flyer I saw a cool kids program featuring the music of the 60s and then the kids get to create their own 60s album cover. Anna came into the room and I read to her about what the program consisted of. I asked her if that sounded fun to her and she said yes. She added she would LOVE to make her own album cover. She then paused for a moment looked at me puzzled and said" What's an album?" LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
After we stopped laughing we explained about how people use to listen to music in the olden days, HAHA. I even had an album to show her. She was amazed people actually used those things and said she likes DVDs better. I'm sure she'll learn more about them in history class one day. Ahhhh to be 5 again.
