Remember me, your mom??

That's what I was thinking as Anna got on the school bus for the first time today. No hug, no kiss, not even a hestitation as she got on. Although she did say "later mom". She was this confident little person who was now an elementary student. She said Hi to Miss Laura, the bus driver, and went looking for a seat by one of her friends. Where is the kid who would cling to me or at the very least give me that last extra long hug before she went into class? She has been replaced with a very confident kid and while it does make me a little sad it makes me super happy and proud that it appears so far I am doing ok as a parent and haven't messed her up too bad.

((hugs))
bittersweet is the only word for it. Our lil' babes are now independent lil' people.

You haven't messed her up too badly apparently - you've managed to raise a confident, independent little thing... something you should be proud of.

Like Ellisa said, its hella bittersweet though isn't it?!
